The mission of the Brigade Boosters is to support the students and programs associated with the La Quinta Instrumental Music Program, under the direction of Mr. David Jewett. The boosters are a non-profit organization that work to provide the students of the Blackhawk Brigade the best educational experience possible. Our band booster organization is one of the few ways you can be actively involved in your child’s high school education.
While fundraising is a major part of what the boosters do, it is not the sole purpose of the organization. It's a great way to connect with your student and support an activity that they're passionate about. Your most important contribution will always be your presence. Simply being involved sends a powerful message to your son or daughter. There is no substitute for this precious and priceless gift. Get started by signing up for an event on Charms!
WE WORK FOR OUR STUDENTS
The La Quinta High School Blackhawk Brigade Boosters (LQHSBBB) are a non-profit organization that serve the Blackhawk Brigade publicly, physically, and financially.
- Publicly: They communicate the exceptional quality of the program to the community at large.
- Physically: They serve as volunteers whenever and wherever needed. They organize meals, drive equipment trucks to competitions, manage uniforms, food sales at football games, supervise car washes, build props, and complete hundreds of other jobs that just have to be done.
- Financially: They ensure the success of the Blackhawk Brigade by keeping the program financially stable. They plan and organize fundraisers and sponsorships and manage the budget.
Whatever expertise you bring to the table can be employed and will be much appreciated!

Combined Board and Parent meetings are typically held the SECOND TUESDAY of each month at 6:30 p.m. via Zoom or in person in the choir room. All parents are strongly encouraged to attend to receive important information about their student’s music program. Meetings are warm, welcoming, and efficient!
